Read "Stone Cold" by David Baldacci

Best book of his I have read to date!

Read "The Collectors" by David Baldacci

Finished 2 Mar 08; this is the 2d book I've read by this author, and this one was a web of conspiracy theory, intrigue, murder, a couple of different story lines, spying and treason.  Set in Washington, D.C., the "Camel Club" does it again, making this an excellent read (and the way it ended, I will have to read the next book).

Read "Bare Bones' by Kathy Reichs

Finished "Bare Bones" by Kathy Reichs today, great book, set in North Carolina and some in South Carolina.  Infant skeletal remains in a wood burning stove, bear parts buried in plastic bags on a farm, skull and hand bones found in an outhouse, body missing a head, the cases just keep coming in, keeping Ms Temperance Brennan busy [and some are interrelated too!].

Read "Bones to Ashes" by Kathy Reichs

Finished reading on 23 Feb 08.  Another novel by Kathy Reichs based upon the character Temperance Brennan, from "Bones" fame.

Read "Book of the Dead by Patricia Cornwell

Great book set in Charleston, SC, even mentions Beaufort several times!

    "Cross Bones" by Kathy Reichs

Started and finished "Cross Bones" by Kathy Reichs today.  Set in Canada and Israel, lots of bibilical history, and theory on skeletal remains believing to be Jesus.  I think I will prefer the books set in South Carolina to be honest....

    Read "Break No Bones"

On the advice of Mrs Reyna at the Base Library I read "Break No Bones," by Kathy Reichs on 15 Feb 08 while on an out and back TDY to Cannon AFB, NM.  Started it Thurs, 14 Feb, read half on the plane each way.  The TV series, "Bones," is based on her main character Temperance Brennan.  Was a great read, and I took it back to the library on 16 Feb, and got "Cross Bones," same author.

    The Chase by Clive Cussler

I've been TDY the past 2 weeks, and while I was gone, the Hurlburt Field Library had a hold on "The Chase" by Clive Cussler for me.  I picked it up yesterday and read it last night in its entirety.  I have to say I was a bit dissappointed, it did not measure up to some of his past novels in my opinion.

    You've Been Warned

Sharon loaned me "You've Been Warned," by James Patterson and Howard Roughan today, and I read it in its' entirety tonight.  It was an engaging read, and a "little" scary!

    Hurlburt Field Library

Been a while since I've posted last, sorry!  I'm a card carrying member of the Hurlburt Field Library as of 17 Jan, and just finished a book I checked out from them yesterday.  The book is "Camel Club," by David Baldacci, and it was a great read.  I've added Mr. Baldacci to my list of favorite writers, and hope to read more of his books soon.

Saw "The Kingdom" at the movies

Went to the movies on 20 Oct 07 with Willie and Sharon, watched "The Kingdom."  Good action movie, even Willie liked it, even though he didn't like some of the actors.

    Bought Transformers DVD

Bought the Transformers DVD last week, what a great movie!  I've seen it twice already (once with Willie and Sharon), and it's definitely good advertising for the USAF--I think most of our aircraft inventory is in the movie!

    Lot's going on....

Finally getting settled down at my new base / apt in FL!  Several old friends of ours are retired here, and seeing them has been really nice.  Went to dinner with Joe and Diane last night, haven't seen them since we left NC in 1996.  I've done several things with Willie and Sharon (except no ATVing yet!), still need to hook up with Chappie and Michelle.
